Woke up to a buzz bounce splash
Rain soaked sill, acrylic color spill
Sweet sleep, reverie seeps beneath my mind
Brolly intact, I climb to the top of the hill
Crossing guard smiles, familiar nod g’day
Hello hazelnut perks of the job
Downpour dissipates, sun makes its way
Beauty lights the eyes of this ol sod
Stroll the garden, pick a ripe flower
Chill wind breathes life through the air
Today tries anew, stronger every hour
But despite my strife, I couldn’t hold a care
