Back in the Saddle

It's been a wild couple of months. The biggest event in the history of sports, the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, was amazing. While some may question that this event was the biggest in sports history, the fact that it takes place every four years means that the audience grows and the bar is raised every time the soccer superstars of the world don their country's kits.

Speaking of soccer superstars, this Saturday I'm heading to M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore to see an international friendly of epic proportions. The reigning treble-winners Inter-Milan take on the EPL club who have truly epitomized the term 'spending spree' this offseason in Manchester City. As a Red Devil, I'll have no qualms rooting for Inter.

Furthermore, I might try to convince Man City vet Adebayor that he should be relocating across town after all the rumors have been circling about his future following the signing of young phenom Balotelli. Man City is essentially taking the Yankees' approach to acquiring talent and seeking to get back into Champions League contention as soon as possible.

See you at the pitch!
