My first foray into oil painting produced this.
'Automatic Pellegrini' is a play on words as the Chilean soccer coach currently running Manchester City is actually named Manuel Pellegrini.
There's nothing automatic about winning. It takes a lot of work.
And this 60-year old shows the wear and tear on his face.
The original photo also appears to tell a multitude of stories, and that's why I chose it to base this painting off of that look. Hopefully I did the photo an ounce of justice.
